The Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Vocal Projects are music programs that teach children how to sing. The programs emphasize engaging children in a variety of genres, including classical, pop, rock, musicals, hymns, and mash-ups. Children learn the necessary pitch, rhythm, and pulse through a variety of fun chants, songs, and varied repertoire. They also learn the importance of dynamics and basic theory. Cross-curricular learning is also incorporated, such as “Music and Maths” with emphasis on the times tables. Children enjoy harmonizing and singing in rounds. Schools are invited to perform at the annual Medley Music Melodies Concert.
