About US
Fran has worked in Warrington Primary Schools for over ten years and formed the business Medley Music For Schools Ltd in 2017. Medley Music delivers music provision to over 1000 children per week in Primary Schools to Key Stage One and Key Stage Two children, particularly focusing on Keyboard, Music National Curriculum, Vocal projects and performance opportunities to Whole Class, Small Group, One to One and disengaged and vulnerable young people.
Previously Fran worked for Accent Music Education hub as music tutor and training & marketing manager, Fran also ran the Yamaha Music School based in Warrington delivering music to students. It was an immense source of pride for her to help children, young people and adults to pass the Trinity College Keyboard examinations.
Fran’s love for piano started at about the age of 9 and her Mum and Dad encouraged her to have piano lessons and pass exams with the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music). In High School she chose her second instrument the flute, and performed with both instruments and voice influenced by her Music Teacher, Mrs. Milller, who she still holds in high regard to date.
Fran works with her colleague Su Ancliffe, they go back many years and are both Yamaha trained. Su covered Fran’s maternity leave whilst she was having her lovely children. They work together to deliver enthusiastic, dynamic and exciting backings to go alongside the repertoire they deliver. Fran is passionate to deliver projects for all provision suitable for the children and enjoys making medley mash ups and backings suitable of all the genres they are writing.
In November 2011 she won the Classic FM Peripatetic/Private Music Teacher of the Year Award. The awards recognise and reward those teachers who have made a real life difference to the musical life of young people. Fran was nominated whilst working for Warrington Schools Arts and Culture Service, and was presented at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This was a nomination Fran was, for once, speechless to be nominated for and delighted to be victorious. To win the award was absolutely amazing for Fran and all Schools and Children she worked with.

Fran and Su are passionate to continuously evolve the provision they offer and after conversation with Head Teachers, projects were developed to suit the needs of Children within the Schools.
Fran absolutely loves the Children performing and encourages at every opportunity. All Children perform at Christmas and end of year and in addition Schools work with Fran to deliver performances for Remembrance, Christmas, Easter and Summer Year 6 productions.
Fran is passionate about remembrance of our loved ones after losing her Mum and works with Schools to deliver an annual Medley Music Melodies Concert where children perform a variety of genres. The Concert will always dedicate a remembrance theme for the lives lost during the Warrington Bombing (remembering Tim Parry and Johnathon Ball), the MEN attack and in both World Wars and more recent conflicts.
Medley Music would welcome any Schools to come along to a live lesson with the children!!!
Fran would like to thank the support of Head Teachers to grow not only the provision but the opportunity for children to progress on their musical journey and performance through which they build their confidence, self-esteem and significantly, their emotional well-being which we can’t measure!
